CICODEV Africa works for sustainable and equitable access to energy for citizens with a bias for the development and adoption of renewable energies.
Its action aims to not only bring about a change in consumer behavior for controlled, responsible and sustainable energy consumption, but also to influence the energy policy of the State of Senegal by carrying out studies and research that can inform and guide its awareness-raising and education activities for citizen-consumers and its advocacy for the financing of renewable energies.
One of the strategic orientations which guide the action of the organization today in Senegal is the financing of the access to renewable energies – in particular for the women and the girls – by the profits drawn from the exploitation of the resources recently discovered fossil fuels.
