The regions of Ziguinchor, Kolda, Tambacounda and Kédougou welcomed CICODEV’s Health Team from January 12 – 17, 2019, as part of a tour seeking to popularize endogenous health financing mechanicsms (MEFS), community-based initiatives enabling vulnerable populations to access health coverage.
This tour was also an opportunity to meet the administrative, health and customary authorities of these regions, in order to inform them about CICODEV’s work in the field through its Focal Points, but also to gather their opinions and orientations to better respond to the issue of accessing quality health care.
These outreach activities and community mobilization sessions, which were genuine moments of dialogue, were broadcast by local radio stations and were an integral part of the territorialization of CICODEV’s strategy to strengthen its actions at the community level.
