Celebration: Sédhiou Capital of Universal Health Coverage

Sédhiou is located on the right bank of the Casamance river. A strange placidity characterizes this locality which became the capital of the region in 2008. The city of Sédhiou, capital of the natural regions of Pakao, Balantacounda, Boudié and Diassy, is a breeding ground where women and men with a temperament steeped in a history and a culture which shake up the challenges and forge routes lined with palm trees. Sédhiou, the former capital of Casamance, is full of enormous cultural potential, notably with its many historical sites such as the famous Fort Pinet Laprade and numerous religious centers.

Sadio Mané scores his goals; Aissatou Sy enrolls her groups in mutual health insurance. Bambali has never been better. A town that witnessed the birth of the Senegalese pride of Liverpool and that allows CICODEV focal point, Aissatou Sy, achieve the objectives assigned to her.

With a smile on her lips, Aissatou is a quiet force. Recruited in February 2020, she immediately got to work. Undoubtedly, Aissatou is a good addition to the team, accumulating to date 180 enrollments in the health mutual of Bambali, Diendé and Marsassoum.

Like a growing forest, it sweeps quietly and turns its base into a priesthood. A focal point very focused on her goals but also on her lifelong love, a vegetable garden in a corner of her house that brightens her days.
