CSO-LPI Platform Thematic Paper Large Scale Land Based Investments (LSLBI)

This paper sets out a civil society analysis of the current status of Large Scale Land Based Investments (LSLBI) in Africa and what civil society would like to see in relation to the phenomena. It includes discussion of the trends and responses to the phenomena, in particular international and African responses, and ends with a set of recommendations. This analysis and the recommendations come out of discussions within the Civil Society Organizations – Land Policy Initiative Platform (CSO-LPI Platform1) and inform the advocacy agenda and activities of the Platform in relation to LSLBI.

CSO-LPI Platform Thematic Paper Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact

This paper sets out a civil society analysis of the state of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the impact of land reforms and land governance in Africa. It also identifies what civil society would like to see in relation to M&E in the land sector. The paper includes discussion of the trends and actions taken so far at an African and international level and ends with a set of recommendations. This analysis and the recommendations come out of discussions within the Civil Society Organizations – Land Policy Initiative Platform (CSO-LPI Platform2) and informs the advocacy agenda and activities of the Platform in relation to policy and practice M&E for impact.

CSO-LPI Platform Thematic Paper Women’s Land Rights

It includes discussion of the trends and interventions in transparency and accountability, in particular international and African responses, and ends with a set of recommendations.
