CSO-LPI Platform Thematic Paper Customary Land and Tenure Security Featured


This paper sets out a civil society analysis of the current status of customary tenure in Africa and what civil society would like to see in relation to this situation. It includes discussion of the trends and responses to the situation of customary tenure and tenure security more widely, in particular international and African
responses, and ends with a set of recommendations. This analysis and the recommendations come out of discussions within the Civil Society Organizations – Land Policy Initiative1 Platform (CSO-LPI Platform2) and informs the advocacy agenda and activities of the Platform in relation to customary land and tenure security
