Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

If progress in access to water in urban areas in Senegal are African and world reference with rates of 98.7% -which omen of the possibility of achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in 2015 for hydraulic urban-rural areas access rates are of concern with a rate of 64%.
Even more worrying is the rate of access to rural sanitation with 35.6% and an overall rate (urban / rural) 47.4% (Potable Water Program and sanitation of the Millennium in 2012).

Universal access to telecommunications

Telecommunications play an important role in the socio-economic development of a country and have an impact on trade, job creation, national integration, the country linkages and cultural exchanges.
Telecommunications services are growing strongly around the world, and particularly in Senegal. In 2013, the mobile penetration rate is estimated at 93.6% (ARTP 2013).

Sustainable and fair access to Energy

Non oil producing countries, Senegal depends more than 95% of the external supply of fuel to meet its energy consumption (PROGEDE).
Reducing energy dependence will be through demand management and energy efficiency; but especially by the promotion, development and adoption of renewable energy. This is the alternative that promotes CICODEV Africa, through its program to ensure sustainable and equitable access of disadvantaged consumers to energy.
