Specifically, the objectives are:
to build capacity in both human and material resources, so as to improve coordination and ensure a free flow of information between stakeholders
to help as many people as possible to keep in touch with healthcare professionals for quality healthcare services
to prevent disease by promoting the use of tools for better information and improved well-being on a day-to-day basis
One of the main ways in which this partnership works is that Sonatel provides the Ministry of Health and Social Action with cost-free distribution of awareness and prevention messages to the public by text.
It has therefore been decided to send messages raising awareness and providing information about healthcare to people’s mobile phones, at the rate of two texts per month, according to a mutually agreed timetable. Appropriate awareness messages will be written in advance by the Ministry of Health and Social Action and given to Sonatel, who will then distribute them across their mobile network.
